Authorities in the UAE have issued fresh guidelines for residents travelling from India to Abu Dhabi. The authorities said that 12 days quarantine is must for Indians arriving in Abu Dhabi provided they meet all the other travel guidelines.
Bhavesh Javeri boarded the 360-seater Boeing 777 from Mumbai, capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra, to Dubai on 19 May and recorded his experience in a video that has now gone viral.
In the notification, the Directorate General of Central Aviation (DGCA), however, said: "This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the DGCA."
The flight, operated by Go First, took off for Sharjah at 6:30pm from Srinagar and landed at Sharjah International Airport at 9:30pm UAE time. The flight revives direct air link between the Kashmir Valley and the UAE after 11 years.
The Airlines on its website said that according to government directives, it won’t be carrying passengers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka until July 21, 2021.
